EAT and the Open-air museum “Old Village” from Sirogojno continued their collaboration. Within the project “7 houses, 7 villages, 7 stories” and the exhibition “Tradinovation – Facing Rurality”, they held a successful student workshop.

During October 2014, the Open-air museum “Old Village” Sirogojno and the EAT organization in a collaboration with the Faculty of Architecture, University of Belgrade held the student workshop “Tradinovation – Facing Rurality”.

The Museum hosted 15 master students from Faculty of Architecture, University of Belgrade. For four days they have discussed different topics such as: faces & visions of rurality; rural-urban relations; contemporary interpretation of traditional architecture; elements of ecological architecture; architecture representation etc. Through small art and design projects, students presented their own visions and interpretations of the term rurality.

Workshop products will be published in a catalog, while the whole project “7 houses, 7 villages, 7 stories: TRADINOVATION – FACING RURALITY” will be presented at the conference RE-IMAGINING RURALITY in London next February.
