Sandra is an architect of Italian and Swedish nationality coming from an international background. She was born in Gothenburg, in 1985. She holds a Ph.D. in Environmental Design and focuses on the topics of adaptive building skins, kinetic facades and biomimicry in collaboration with the Technical University of Munich, Associate Professorship of Architectural Design and Building Envelopes, as a research and teaching associate. She has participated in numerous international conferences, researches and authored/co-authored a number of research papers on the topic.

Her formational training started in Italy. She received her Master degree in 2009 and Ph.D. degree in 2016 at the Faculty of Architecture, La Sapienza University of Rome. In 2010 she started as a partner the office Persiani/Pardo architetti, active in the field of Sustainable Architecture and Design. The practice has participated in many international design competitions, and has been awarded numerous prizes such as the Blue Award and the WSCA award.

Italian, English, Swedish, French and German are the languages she speaks fluently (together with some improvised Spanish and Portuguese if given a week or two). She enjoys international and informal friendly environments open to cultural exchange. Loving cats is a common trait to all females of her lineage.

Sandra joined EAT organization in 2016.
